Celebrating Christmas with Spellbinders Christmas Bird Poinsettia Die Set

We're now into August, and I'm still enjoying Spellbinders' Christmas in July product release. I'm thrilled with how beautiful this card turned out! For this card background, I used Concord & 9th Artichoke card stock with Spellbinders Holly & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder from Yana Smakula's beautiful De-Light-Ful Christmas Collection. I used the new Spellbinders Christmas Bird Poinsettia Die Set to create the bird and beautiful Christmas foliage. I generally don't add color and depth to die-cuts, but for this card, I used alcohol markers for the poinsettia and used Concord & 9th Blueberry Ink Pad and a blending brush to create an ombre effect on Concord & 9th Powder card stock for the bird's body. For the sentiment I used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Christmas Mailbox Greetings from the Parcel & Post Collection.

In general, I love how everything turned out. I love using a blending brush to add the ombre to the bird. My alcohol marker skills still need some work. The poinsettia is not as smooth of a transition as I had hoped. Thanks for reading!
