I recently discovered Ellen Hutson earlier this week. I love that I found a paper crafting, card maker's dream store so close to home! I can easily order what I want and pick it up, or have it mailed and arriving at my home within a couple of days.
When I stumbled upon their site, I was so excited to 1) find a local company to support that sold brands I love and/or want to try, 2) they sell kits - I'm new to card making, so kits give me a variety of things to play with, hence why I like them, and 3) the attention to details and quality of products they sell.
I ordered Essential by Ellen Hutson Pumpkin Spice Bundle. What a beautifully curated collection! The quality of the product is amazing! The attention to detail in how they curate these bundles and how thoughtful they package their product is exceptional. I love that when die's come, they're already in a clear vinyl envelope stuck to a magnet sheet. I'm sure there are other brands that do this, but as I said, I'm new to card making, and this is my first time experiencing it.
For this card, I used the Pumpkin Mug by Julie Ebersole die set. I cut the pumpkin itself from Spellbinders Pink Sand Cardstock. I love adding pink as a Halloween color. I think it's a modern take on the traditional colors we're accustomed to for Halloween. From there, I used My Favorite Things Candied Yams and Orange Zest ink cubes to create dimension giving the mug a more 3D look to it. I love how this turned out.
Of course, no pumpkin spice latte would be complete without steaming ghosts! These dies are included with the Pumpkin Mug die set. Also included in the curated Pumpkin Spice bundle is the Fallish by Julie Ebersole stamp set and die bundle. I combined "hello" and "pumpkin" for my sentiment, and tried a heat embossing powder for the first time in black on the Spellbinders Pink Sand Cardstock. I need to play with the embossing powder a bit more. I'm definitely not as confident with that yet, Overall, I really love how this card turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and reading!
